Navistar N10
Purpose built and Performance driven.

Just because you run medium-duty trucks, that doesn't mean you can't have heavy-duty power. That's why there's the Navistar N10.

The N10 grew from a big idea: bring to the midrange diesel market traditional big bore features such as wet-sleeve design and in-chassis rebuild capability. Built specifically for the needs of International® customers, the high-output N10 takes your business further with increased 9.3-liter displacement by longer stroke and the performance you'd expect from larger heavy-duty engines – all in a weight-saving design.

Vocational Applications
The N10 is compatible with a full range of automatic and manual driveline options and thousands of potential build configurations to serve the broadest range of on- and off-highway applications. Ratings offer up to 370 hp and 1,250 lb.-ft. of torque. Shift energy management technology allows for higher peak torque when used with select transmissions.
Excellent Power
N10 engines use dual sequential turbochargers to deliver powerful performance for any job. The smaller, primary turbo responds quickly for immediate takeoff at low engine speeds, and the larger, secondary turbo provides peak power at higher speeds and on steep grades.
Reliability
A rock-solid, time-tested platform ensures legendary reliability. For the new generation, Navistar engineers carried forward the proven technologies and components such as: premium plateau-honed cylinder design, reinforced bearing-cap ladder and durable roller cam followers. Enhancements in reliability were also made with the dual sequential free-wheel turbochargers and a premium wiring harness design.
Durability
The N10 features the same precision-machined wet-sleeved design that provides heavy-duty engine durability. Six bolts per cylinder provide head gasket integrity unmatched by competitive four-bolt designs. Premium valve train components and low-friction design further increase engine life. Adding to the appeal of this engine is its ability to be completely rebuilt in-frame. As a result, the engine can be returned to original factory specifications for a lot less than the cost of remanufacturing, which gives it a strong value advantage at resale.
