Traves Center, Greer, South Carolina | Carolina International

International Trucks Service Advisor

Service Advisor

Traves is an excellent service advisor at Carolina International Trucks. Traves always goes above and beyond for customers and technicians and consistently works to upsell jobs. He always makes sure to know what is going on with every truck in our service department, and he continually comes out to the shop to get good updates and make sure all technicians have everything they need to complete a job. I've noticed that Traves will promise customers a vehicle, and if it’s getting close to a deadline, he will be actively working with the technicians and parts to make sure the job gets completed by the customer’s pick-up time.

One of his technician colleagues mentioned, “When I have any issues with parts or find more stuff wrong with a unit, Traves is on top of it and even delivers parts to my bay. I know when I tell Traves that I need more stuff quoted for a truck, he won't just send an email. He actively completes the estimate with a sense of urgency and calls the customer for approval so that I can continue working on the truck. Traves is just the best service advisor I've ever seen in the office in the four years that I've been here.”

Travis has great respect for the techs, and they have respect for him as well. He is very knowledgeable in his job, and always thinking of other ways we can get jobs done easier and faster. Traves is a team player; he has always been willing to train and help others learn more efficient ways to get things completed. Traves has several drivers and companies that call and request him daily. He is always willing to go the extra mile to get the answers and meet the customers' needs. He is also willing to help the techs get jobs done, and is not afraid to get dirty. Traves is our second-shift service advisor, and always takes the initiative to get the job at hand done!

VETERANS

Aaron Theisen, Spencer, Iowa | North Central International

International Trucks Service Advisor

Service Advisor

Aaron consistently displays the highest level of professionalism and values towards the industry and his customers. A milestone in his career at North Central International involved the first couple of times the service manager took service-related phone calls. He advised the customers who they were speaking with, and they requested to speak with Aaron. As soon as the service manager finished the phone conversation, the he asked Aaron if there was something said to the customers that made them want to talk to him. Aaron replied, "No problems, just a customer I met outside of the office and advised him to check out NCI." So, the two takeaways from this are one, he supports the company he works for, even after hours, and two, he was starting his journey of building his customer relations.

One way Aaron shows a commitment to "Responsibility and Trust" is by taking on warranty administrator responsibilities beyond his current responsibilities for our location. This roll was presented to him and with no hesitation Aaron dove headfirst into it. With his hands full, he still finds a way to make time for warranty, technicians, and keeping up with his customer relations. Aaron is all about being a team player. He can be buried in a situation and when a technician, customer, or even a fellow employee comes up needing assistance, he always finds a solution to help. Aaron is a top-tier employee who enjoys coming to work. Outside of work, what makes him special is his love of the outdoors and fishing. He has won Master Angler awards in the state of Iowa.
