DELIVERED: INTERNATIONAL®
S13 INTEGRATED POWERTRAIN ALREADY HARD AT WORK

The International® LT® Series equipped with the S13 Integrated Powertrain is officially in the hands of fleet customers—and the initial response has been overwhelmingly positive.

Saddle Creek Logistics Services, a supply chain solutions company, recently took delivery of its first LT Series equipped with the S13 Integrated Powertrain and, so far, their drivers are thrilled. John Erwin, their senior vice president of transportation, states, “When I talk to our drivers, they tell me they enjoy the experience delivered by the S13 Integrated Powertrain.”

Saddle Creek driver Ed Hadley adds, “The S13 is great all around. The transmission is the smoothest that I have ever experienced. It finds the right gear quickly and has great torque and power. It is just a really enjoyable driving experience.”

The S13 Integrated Powertrain was designed to be easy to use and simple to service. It’s also the lightest 13-liter diesel engine on the market, which enables greater payload capacity per trip. Plus, the stellar efficiency — up to 15% more efficient* — means fewer vehicle greenhouse gas emissions for the planet and greater operating profit for customers.

After testing the new powertrain last fall, Paschall Truck Lines, a dry-van freight carrier, decided to place an order. Vic Norris, vice president of fleet maintenance at Paschall, states, “During our time with the S13 unit, we experienced very strong fuel economy, a good driver experience, and 100% equipment uptime.”

The successful launch of any new product is a satisfying achievement, but to launch a product that can dramatically improve a customer’s bottom line is the most rewarding of all. “International Truck is thrilled to have handed off the first S13 Integrated Powertrain units,” said Chet Ciesielski, Vice President, International Truck On-Highway.
